Windows Live Writer- Cool Tool

I just re-installed Live Writer -among other programs since re-installing Windows , ugh!  Just had to try it out and make sure it installed or re-installed correctly ;-)  Windows Live Writer is a neat tool that allows you to post to your blogs from your desktop w/o having to log into each one individually. it's great for  creating posts offline when your in that writing mode and schedule them to be posted at a later date.

If you have several blogs, then this can be a time-saver, but you still need to  log  in to your blog to approve comments or maintenance.

You can read more about it and  Download Windows Live Writer

Learning Style- What's Yours?

How do you Learn? I am a visual, kinesthetic and auditory learner. I learn best by actually doing it myself and not so good from reading a book, as we did in school unless I physically wrote the information down. I also tend to get bored very easily if it's not a topic I'm not particularly interested in or doesn't match my learning style.

Thanks to my friend and business partner, Karen Stavert, I came across a site about learning/teaching styles and learned a bunch, especially about myself. The site gives some great tips for each style and helped me understand myself a bit more about the challenges I have with learning new things and possibly how to be a better teacher and mentor.

It's a great site if you have school aged kids. There's plenty of tips and strategies to make them better students and do better in school.

Suite 101 explains the learning differences in right brained and left brained people that is easy to understand.

Get on over to the Internet Income Lab Tues night for a free Blogging class.

So, how do you learn? What are your learning challenges? maybe together we can develop straegies to help.

Talk to you next time,

Kathy Pop

New Training Site Coming Soon!

Hello,

It's great to be back online. It's been 16 days, 8 hours , and 22 mins. i moved from W. Mass. to san Antonio, Texas. I packed a couple bags,& flew out here with my dog Murphy, a 10 yr old Lab/Rottie/ Shepard mix. That was some experience, esp trying to get all my things, the dog & her huge crate thru the airport. Got some pretty strange looks from passerbys. I had to move everything myself because they wouldn't let me use a flatbed or anything I'm NOT ready to do that again anytime soon!

I started working on a site while waiting for my internet connection to be hooked up (almost thought it never would). I do have a few instructors lined up. we plan on doing both free & paid workshops & courses. I hope to have it together by mid Sept.

There'll be courses on business- both online & offline, self- improvement, health and well-being & more as I assemble more instructors and speakers. I don't want to focus on just one area, learning should be a lifelong project in all areas. I'm exicted and can't wait!

The URL for the site is www.livetrainingcenter.com

as always, you're welcome to stop into my online office if you'd like to teach or make a presentation, chat.... I'll show you the features that make teaching so great in these rooms!
See ya soon!

Hi everyone,

My name is Kathy Poplawski or just Kathy Pop. I am an Internet Business Consultant, which is a very broad term. In my case, I've combined my past experience in mental health and then business owner with my recent self-education of online classes into running a business online helping people of all budgets create that dream job or business. I didn't really have a clue as to what I should do online when I started actively pursuing an online business , almost 3 years ago. It's totally different from what I had imagined. As most people, I started with affilliate marketing. I must have a Bazillion affiliate sites and links.

Eventhough I have been using computers for 19 years and am adept at troubleshooting (esp.DOS, remember DOS??), performing my own upgrades, and writing simple programs~ I had absolutely no knowledge of HTML or creating websites, SEO, or Podcasting. So, I muddled along until during one of my searches I stumbled accross a free training in a web conference room. I was expecting some high strung person with a great big sales pitch on why I should join their company. I was delighted to see that it was an actual educational class on web building 101. Then I found a few more. I learned faster than I ever did trying to teach myself from books. So, I becamed hooked. I attend whenever possible, even while I doing other things, sometimes in more than 1 at a time.

Now they are all over, on all sorts of topics. Finally companies have discovered the value of the "soft sell" , realizing that people are wary of recuiting pitches and ALL THE HYPE! They've finally dicovered the benefit of developing a relationship with their visitors. Giving away online training has become a subtle marketing tool. I am thankful for that. I've made some wonderful friends through them also. Not to mention all the money I saved from not having to enroll at my local college.

So, whether you're new to the internet or just want to learn how to build your business with the latest trend~ take a class!

I have some listed on my site as a great place to start. Hope to see you there.
